Jeunes talents cirque Europe, edition 2009-2010
CIRKO - performance season in Autumn 2005
In Autumn 2005 Cirko will program new performances from Circo Aereo and magician Tatu Tyni in Helsinki. In October Cirko will also co-produce the 5-3-1 Helsinki New Juggling Festival.

In our publishing program
we will present a new book. Sirkuksen vallankumous (The Revolution of Circus) is a French collection of articles
about the French comtemporary circus. Edited by Jean-Michel Guy, originally named Avant-garde, Cirque! (2001)the book will be published in Finnish in the beginning of October by Like Kustannus Ltd and Cirko - Center for New Circus.

Also in October begins a serial of movies from the world of circus. As a partner with the Finnish Film Archive Cirko has chosen 20 films from the 1920´s´ until our days. For the further information, please contact www.sea.fi.

Cirko will continue the project of presenting the work of Finnish comtemporary circus artist in the countries of Europe. In November (2nd - 6th) the juggler Ville Walo will perform in Finnish Institute of Paris with his solo performance Waloville. Circo Aereo & UMO Jazz Orchestra: LOUISIANA CIRCUS

Louisiana Circus comprises six circus artists and 19 musicians in the swinging atmosphere of old time cabaret. The UMO Jazz House ambience will pulse with the mix of exiting and creative circus performance. Trapeze and tight-rope acts will reach above the audience, and circus artistry will fuse with the magical sound of the big band orchestra creating an unparalleled union.

Louisiana Suite is by Palle Mikkelborg, who in the past has collaborated with such figures as Miles Davis. The Louisiana Circus brings together the top circus talents from France, Sweden and Finland. The conductor of the specially enlarged line-up of UMO Jazz Orchestra is Markku Veijonsuo.
